Our restaurant Foodstock is known for it’s exotic dishes. But every Wednesday of the season we’re doing some extra special.
Together with our chefs we created a delicious menu and invited some of the finest live musicians to support the evening.

Kita Menari
Van Common

2019 has been a breakthrough year for Kita Menari starting on January 19th with a performance at European industry showcase festival ESNS in Groningen. From there the project has flourished. New EP ‘Finally Awake’ was released on April 26th with singles from the release gaining support from top international blogs including The 405, Clash Magazine and The Line Of Best Fit. Collectively the tracks went on to appear on Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’ playlists in AUS/NZ, Mexico, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and home country The Netherlands with further sizable editorial inclusions in Germany.
Their sound is unmistakable Indie-Pop. Born from a near death experience. Homed in the grounds of a palace. The result: Passion Pit/MGMT/Phoenix inspired energy and hooks!

Van Common is the solo moniker of Amsterdam’s multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Sebastiaan van Ravenhorst. As a true hermit, the young man retreated to a small beach house in the southwest of the Netherlands. D.I.Y was his credo: writing, singing, playing all instruments and recording, everything done by himself. He raided the local supermarket, in order to have enough provisions for a week’s work on his own. ‘I didn’t want to get out of the house anymore,’ he says. ‘I wanted to completely let go of my every day surroundings and focus on writing and recording music for the EP.’ The result is an apt introduction to his mix of dream-pop, shoegaze and glo-fi sounds. Boasting infectious melodies, his songs haunt you like a ghost to take over your mind completely. And that’s Van Common’s intention: to crossover from the subconscious to the conscious.
